Hello Everyone

Yesterday finished in a mix state, as both the Dow and S&P 500 closed in the "Red", while the Nasdaq closed in the "Green" as investors ponder over last Friday's jobs result.

Not much incoming data to go on today, but keep an eye on the JOLTS Job Openings 3pm (BST) for any signs of weakness. ;)

Current price: 1256.65

Hello Everyone

Yesterday saw the "markets" finish in a mixed state as late trading pushed the Nasdaq & S&P 500 into the "Green" while the Dow remained in the "Red" after the Unemployment Claims data report showed in the "Red".

Today sees the Core Retail Sales m/m & Retail Sales m/m at 1.30pm (BST) both "Forecast" good results (so the experts believe), followed by the Prelim UoM Consumer Sentiment 2.55pm (BST) & Business Inventories m/m 3pm (BST) again both showing good on the "Forecast".

Close of trading:

The Dow Jones Global Indexes: 17049.00 -19.71 (-0.12%)

Nasdaq Composite Index: 4591.81 +5.28 (+0.12%)

The S&P 500 Index: 1997.45 +1.76 (+0.09%)

Gold hit 1234.86 earlier in the day before "Close" at 1240.29 following my 19/Aug/14 prediction.
Gold continues to look confused about which direction it should be taking, so any movement pass the 1280 level could see a continuing fall to around 1240

Current price: 1300.80

Good luck

Hello Everyone

Friday saw all three "markets" end in the "Red" as investors continue to lose that "feel good" factor.

Things to watch today:

Empire State Manufacturing Index at 1.30pm (BST) expected to be good (Green) news according to "Forecast" so any "red" outcome could see more sell-offs.

Capacity Utilization Rate & Industrial Production m/m 2.15pm (BST) also "Forecast" good.

Close of trading:

The Dow Jones Global Indexes: 16987.51 -61.49 (-0.36%)

Nasdaq Composite Index: 4567.60 -24.21 (-0.53%)

The S&P 500 Index: 1985.54 -11.91 (-0.60%)

Gold continued to fall on Friday finishing at 1229.23 due to the strengthening of the U.S. dollar.

Current price: 1235.30

Good luck

Hello Everyone

Yesterday resulted in another "hung" jury at the "Close", with both S&P 500 and Nasdaq showing "Red" and the Dow finishing in the "Green".

The S&P 500 shows "support" to be around the 1970 target as it still continues to snake along my trendline.

Close of trading:

The Dow Jones Global Indexes: 17031.14 +43.63 (+0.26%)

Nasdaq Composite Index: 4518.90 -48.70 (-1.07%)

The S&P 500 Index: 1984.13 -1.41 (-0.07%)

Gold continues to show some recovery from Friday's close (1229.23) and now stands at 1239.74.

Any continuation upward to 1260 could see a 1380 target reached (120 points).

Good luck

Hello Everyone

Yesterday saw all three "markets" finish in the "Green" after oil and other commodities surged on a report that China's central bank would increase stimulus and the Federal Reserve are in no hurry to hike rates, lifting the DOW to a new record high (17,167.05).

Today sees no fewer than 9 data reports, starting with the CPI m/m & Core CPI m/m 1.30pm (BST) to name but a few, followed later in the day by the FOMC Economic Projections, FOMC Statement and the Federal Funds Rate all being released at 7pm (BST) ending in the FOMC Press Conference at 7.30pm (BST), add in the housing and mortgage-application data for good measure and things could be a bit up & down.

Close of trading:

The Dow Jones Global Indexes: 17131.97 +100.83 (+0.59%)

Nasdaq Composite Index: 4552.76 +33.86 (+0.75%)

The S&P 500 Index: 1998.98 +14.85 (+0.75%)

Yesterday saw "Gold" continuing on its "Daily" upward trend closing at 1235.33 having hit 1241.99 earlier in the day

Current price: 1236.41

Good luck
